Same here earlier in afternoon........appears fixed now.

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

Been happening to me for about a month on home computer and at work. When I go to the forum list, I have to click on the S-B.com logo at the upper left to actually log in. Guess it wasn't just me.

I did do a security upgrade earlier today and it worked fine and poof, logins for many stopped.

If you are having problems - please follow these steps. Log out and log back in. Remember to select "Remember Me" box. Verify for me if it is not working. You can send me an email at JohnR@striped-bass.com

You may need to clear your "cookies" for the site if you are still having a problem.

To clear cookies for S-B in FireFox, go to : Tools > Options > Privacy Tab - In the middle you will see "Remove Individual Cookies" > click there and delete the striped-bass.com folder. When you log back in to the site it will recreate the cookies that help "Remember You"

Internet Explorer: Tools > Internet Options > General Tab:

  • A dropdown menu will appear. Click Internet Options (at the bottom).
  • In the Browsing history section of the Internet Options window that just appeared click Settings.
  • A new window called Temporary Internet Files and History Settings has appeared. Click View Files.
  • Windows Explorer window will open; it will display the contents of the Temporary Internet Files folder. All the cookies are stored there. Select the ones you want to get rid of (srearch for striped-bass.com ) and delete them.
  • When you are done close the Temporary Internet Files folder. In the Temporary Internet Files and History Settings window click OK. In the Internet Options window click OK and you’re done.
You should not have any problems location the cookie files, but just in case here is a brief explanation: they are the only text documents in the Temporary Internet Files folder. All of them include the word cookie in the title. For example the Google cookie is called something like cookie:XYZ@google.
To delete a cookie simply select it and press Delete on your keyboard.

how about Safari with my apple?

I figured it out and I removed 20 cookies that said striped-bass on them and I still can't get logged in on the first page that lists all of the forums but when I go into a forum like I am in striper talk then I am logged in for my mail in the upper right but if i go back to the main page its says log in. I can't get to the CSA thread.

I just had the same problem. (8:45 AM Sunday.) Deleted cookies and did a re-start. Seems OK. We'll see.

No boat, back in the suds.

Cleared cookies and re-logged in, selected "remember me", got the "logging in" screen, and then it directed me back to the forum list but I was not logged in. Had to click on the S-B logo at the upper left to actually log in. I can stay logged in, but I have to go through the extra step ever time I come back to S-B.

Are you clicking on a favorite to get in? For example, if the favorite starts http://striped-bass.com/Striper instead off http://www.striped-bass... you may be having a problem that way.

Top box on Internet Explorer history deletion, saves cookies of favorites. If you have striped-bass.com as favorites, you need to delete striped-bass.com favorites first and then remove history and cookies and then re-enter striped-bass.com favorites. The other option is to uncheck the box that preserves cookies for favorites, but this is not recommended.

I did the former and it worked for me, for now.
