Sadly, I think there is a race for the worst president of our lifetime and the lead is pretty close.
Ahh, to long for the Reagan / Clinton days.

I'd vote for Clinton again. I still think he did a pretty good Job. I think Reagan did too but prefer Clinton...

It wouldn't hurt if the people that are put in power weren't so concerned about what they would be doing when they left office UNTIL they were out of office.
Between that and the self-serving attitude that cries "I get mine first, and then you can fight over the rest" I don't know what ticks me off more.
All I do know is that if a person is too involved with either, then they can't possibly be looking out for the best interest of the country.
If they try to "serve two masters", they will do poorly by both!
Hope and Change?
it's more like "Hope I can find some Change" to pay for gas!!!

I assume you mean Bush.
Yeah, all he did was keep us safe after 09/11 when every terrorist expert in the world said we'd be attacked again. He routed Al Queda from their safe haven, and he brought an end to a monster of a dictator in Iraq. Bush also lowered taxes for every single American (despite liberal lies that the tax cuts were only for the wealthy), helped senior citizens save $ on prescription drugs.
The economy grew like crazy under his watch, until the subprime mortgage crisis exploded. Was that his fault? I don't see how...
Anything else? Oh yeah. He also is credited with saving 1.2 MILLION lives in Africa.
Bush's AIDS Treatment Program Saved 1.2 Million Lives In Africa
The liberal media sure didn't report this, and Bush didn't brag about it (not his style), but the man did more to help AIDS victims in Africa than any other human being on the planet. In a fair world, Bush would have won the Nobel Peace Prize. In this country, he gets called a racist.
Bush made some huge mistakes (Katrina, spending too much). Worst ever? Tell that to generations and generations of Africans that will live because of him.
He also had the grace to not endlessly blame his predecessor for everything that ever went wrong, and he had the grace to never demonize those who disagreed with him. Hell. he gave a presidential achievement award to Barbars Streisand, who hated Bush's guts. He didn't care, he just liked her music. Does Obama have that kind of class?
Worst ever? Hardly. Remember Jimmy Carter??

Yes, I meant Bush - worse president of our lifetime (even thought he did good with aids in Africa). Lied about Iraq, huge budget deficits. Since you brought up 9/11, it was on his watch.
Funny you bring up class - That is a good one.

Gas prices will be at all-time highs this summer. Instability in the middle east. And we have Barney Fife in the Oval Office.

I love it when liberals do this...you insult my comment, with not one shred of evidence to support it.
Bush had his share of critics, and he refused to attack them. Obama gets prickly with everyone who refuses to kiss his ring. Remember Obama's response to Paul Ryan's budget...Obama said that the GOP wants disabled kids "to fend for themselves". Obama said Republicans should "sit in the back of the bus".
Say what you want about Bush, he didn't do those things. If I'm wrong, and maybe I am, please show me the support. Good luck!

You also fault Bush for his harmful deficits (which I fault him for, too). So what about Oabma, whose deficits dwarf Bush's? Why do you give him a pass?
Answer - you are an ideologue, who praises all liberals, and attacks all conservatives.

Yes, I blame Obama for the deficts.
I voted for both Bushes (worse voting mistakes I made) but now I"m an idologue?
Where am I constantly praising liberals and attacking conservatives? Most of my posts here point out the hypocrisy of the posters for are constantly posting criticism w/o recognizing that their polictical god did/does the same or pointing out the pettiness of their posts.

Here is the difference Paul...I'm not talking about me. If you want to say I have no class, fine, I never said I did.
I think Bush has tons of class (too much for politics), and I said why. You mocked my comment, and offered to support. I thought you were syaing Bush had no class, maybe you just meant that I had no business talking baout class?
Maybe I'm too abrasive, but that doesn't mean I can't distinguish between a true gentleman (Bush) and a whiny, thin-skinned, vindictive brat like Obama.

Again, I assumed you were saying Bush didn't have more class than Obama, which in my opinion would be a crazy thing to say. If you were attacking me, that's fair...
What has Obama done to compare with Bush's saving 1.2 million lives?

Not saying Bush/Obama has more class than the other. I've never criticized or praised either of them for that. I try not to get so petty that I'm making posts about whether a pres. or his wife did something in deference to the other VIPs traditiions.
I've always said Bush did a good job w/aids in Africa and I've seen him praised for it. I've never made this arguement but why wouldn't Obama get praised with saving US lives w/the health care reform? All non-biased experts say it will save lives. If people are against the law, they won't admit that fact.
