I made STORM STEW....

well really a heavy Chicken SOUP
first i roasted a large Perdue chicken
surrounded by gourmet potatoes and mini carrots
removing the BREAST meat 3 hours later i dumped it
all into a very LARGE oval crockpot and added shrooms
2 heads broc-flowers, four cloves un chopped garlic ,
half a red bell pepper....more mini taters and carrots
it'll be simmering all night on low,,,, mmm mm mm
and the most important ingredient , chicken broth...

I work for a DPW so the plan for tonight is... Have a couple of cold bud lights, kiss the kids, make love to the wife, and sleep in my bed for last time for a few days.

Yes you better stay as you definitely need more sailfish practice!

Speaking for the rest of us.... You Bastid!

With my luck I would be stranded trying to get there, and you get "stuck" there! Your assignment is to start a new thread and document the weekend, with plenty of pics, for us to glance through, between shoveling........
Have fun

Yea we keep thinking the same thing. We called this trip serendipity instead of NEMO.. LOL.....I will post more pics when we return (if we return).. Fishing the bay side tomorrow---back country. This is a first, but the guy is supposed to be good and has a 24' flats boat with 300 ponies, should be a fun ride. we will see what we catch, we are taking plenty of pics...

Stay warm all !!!!!!

I got a dozen spoiled eggs, about a cup of milk, no cream for my coffee, half a gallon of water. Dropped outta boy scouts as a weeblo.

Everything is better on the rocks.

been coming down for a while down here, started very light, but steadily increasing since it started... wind is picking up sooner than I thought...still cold enough for very light (dry) flakes, down here on the rain/snow battle line... as usual, we are to expect mixed precip for a time, but I am a little leery of that... I remember in past storms being so close to the rain/snow line that the difference in the changeover was the rate of precipitation... when the (snow) intensity picked up, it was enough to cool the warmer mid level layer and fall as snow ... I'm wondering if the intensity picks up before that warmer layer can fully work in that it might be enough to fight off the changeover... Looks like some heavier stuff about to work it's way onshore, we'll see what form it takes in a bit...

The fact that the sensationlistic weather channel is now naming winter storms based upon their own creations is beyond ridiculous. I am calling it Wally.

I have 28 degrees. About 1/2 inch of snow, and the tall spruce trees are barely moving. It's coming down pretty hard now.

Three buckets of sand/salt. Two snowblowers and ramps ready to go. Went to chiropractor before this marathon. Tightened down boat cover. Taped a yardstick to a deckpost to see it add up. Pick up my son with his gear as he is going out with me to clear nine houses tonight/tomorrow. Pass the next 15 hours turning plugs and sleeping.

Groundhog stew, don't do it! It will keep coming back on you.

No wait, that was the movie.

Didn't Bill Murray get stuck in a blizzard with Andie MacDowell.

Some say that there's a fine line between a Surfcaster and some idiot just standing on the beach.
