Black Sea bass love jigs, bucktail work great, I have an olive head bucktail with red/black bucktail in 4oz that kills them in a deeper hump off the Vineyard, that tends to have faster water and requires a heavier head. You can catch them with fluke rigs and squid, but frankly I've never had that method out fish jigs, so why bother.
