Brought 18 home to fillet last trip out with a friend, all on 3/4oz Kalin Ulimate jigs tipped with my 4" split tails, drifting a reef that tops out in 35 feet off Cutty (Goose knows where), but that was close to the top of the tide. Black Sea bass love jigs, bucktail work great, I have an olive head bucktail with red/black bucktail in 4oz that kills them in a deeper hump off the Vineyard, that tends to have faster water and requires a heavier head. You can catch them with fluke rigs and squid, but frankly I've never had that method out fish jigs, so why bother.

[QUOTE=Rmarsh;1006607]Any tips for catching them?

they are pretty easy to catch, aggressive feeders. squid ,clam, worms, just about anything works. hi/low rig right on the bottom. i prefer to drift but anchoring up works too. think rocky structure. if your not catching - move to another spot
