If you want to get into bird hunting , you won't be disappointed. I have been hunting since I was a kid, and I absolutely love it. I have a German shorthaired Pointer. You can find some good books on how to train your dog, thats a good way to learn if you don't have someone to show you. Some of them do a step by step program, you should follow them in the exact steps that they tell you. At first it may not make sense but by the time your done it will. Be patient with your pooch, this will take time. First thing to do is build yourself a training table, it's a must have and not expensive to build. Most important commands to start with is Come, and Whoa. If your dog learns those, your half way there. Do a session with your dog everyday, 5-10 min a day is much better than 30 twice a week. If you have any other questions feel free to PM me.
