A flourocarbon line - not a leader wheel. 1/4 pound spool of 50 lb test will run about 10-12 bucks. Couple hundered yards. Nice abrasion resistance, not to stiff, strong. Not as "springy" as Big Game or Ande. But I agree big game or ande mono works just as well.

Bingo! DZ is right on. I have been using 30 lb Hybrid clear for two years now. 9 bucks a spool. Never had a problem both islands or beach (e-Islands that is). Tuna, bass and everything in between, you could land and elephant with 30lb.
