Flyfishing?????????????

Hi all, New to the saltwater longwand,I've been wondering the beaches for many years chasing the line siders and Bluefish. However I, A poor man have decided to try a rich mans sport. I recently purchased a Redington rod & reel. I went with the Cortland 444 fly line, Intermiadate. All in 9 wt. I hope this was all a good choice! So my question to anyone who may read this is what would be the best choice be for the fly box? I'll be tying most of them myself do to the fact that I just spent what I consider a good chunk of cash on the rod & reel. ( my convential rigs only cost about $275 each. Dont tell my wife) Any way, thanks for any advice. Pete.
