Sea Hunt Triton 220

I was at the Norwalk Boat Show this weekend, and the Sea Hunt dealer had a new model for 2004 - the Triton 220. It was the exact same design as the 23-footer, just smaller. The hull looked like it would fit my needs nicely. Deep sides and an enclosed transom, to really let you feel like you're "in" the boat. Swim/dive platform in back, which would give me a handy place to put on my dive gear, as well as give the dog an easier place to get in/out of the water. A huge raised casting deck that when cushioned, would give the boss a place to sunbathe when she's out with me.

I priced out a package with all the options I wanted - leaning ppost with rocket launchers, hydraulic steering, bow cushions. With a dual-axle trailer and a carb Johnson 150, the total was only $26,200. I could upgrade the engine to a 200 Ficht, or a Honda (the dealer carries OMC and Honda), and still be in the low $30's. And that was just the first offer, there could be some more wiggle room. That sounds pretty good for what appears to be a mid-tier 22-footer. It ain't a Regulator, but it ain't a Sea Fox either.

What do you guys think of Sea Hunt?
