Exploded my Century S1 Stealth

Never snapped a rod throwing a plug. Was casting a 1.5 oz Point Jude Tin to breaking fish off of OBX. Rod was a custom built in 2013. It snapped almost clean off just below where it was inserted into the upper 2/3. No damage to the upper section. Wonder if I can get the piece out and sand down the remainder of the lower 1/3 and reinsert it.

Anyone know Century's policy on something like this? I bought it in '15 or so from a member here who hardly used it and I threw it a few times but it was a bit light for what I was into at the time, so it's been sitting in the rafters for a few years. Figured it was the perfect rod for the sandy beaches of OBX.
