Specialist , it doesn't take that long to tie them. The trick is to get all set up with all you materials out and at hand , and then just go. I enjoy tying. Its relaxing and gives you a good sense of accomplishment when you catch a fish on something you tied rather than store bought.

Speaking of store bought , a similar fly sells for about $6.50 in many places now.

I ended up with 2 short cause I only had enough 3 d eyes to make ten. Now I need two more and no eyes. I went to Murats yesterday and he was out of the 3D eyes. Worst comes to worst , I'll use the same size red eyes but prismatic rather than 3 D. Still looks good.

Oh yes , in case someone hasn't figured this out for themselves ,its a sand eel imitation.
