You have access to miles and miles of fishable waters. There are tons of rips, rocks, deep water, points etc to give you a lifetime of fishing opportunitiesThe best fishing I have had directly in the bay is from 5/1 through 7/15 for daylight fishing and from then on through November its mostly night with some daytime fall action.
I dont think most people will give up specific spots and regarding your questions on pogies, I would reccomend Jim White's new book, SHallow Water Stripers - sponsor Joe Lyons has it a surfcasting-ri.com. Jim is a guide in Narr. Bay and explains a lot of the areas to fish as well as techniques. I think you'll easily be able to apply it to the areas you are near.
Have fun and be safe, I've has a boat the past 2 seasons and love every second I am on the water.

making s-b.com a kinder, gentler place for all
