I now go regardless of the weather as I have experience the worst weather the Bay has seen in June in many years.
I hear you, Paul. Charlestown Breachway has been a nightmare on several occasions this year. With the fog, east wind, and nasty breachway, I've been challenged as much as I ever have in June. Had my closest call at the breach in years last Saturday morning. Usually don't see it this consistantly nasty until the fall.

There's an old saying that goes something like "calm seas do not make great sailors". I'd say it speaks right to your point about becoming a better boatsman. I feel the same way, as i've been tested on a few occasions. Lots of trips it's just been a challenge finding the right speed and trim height to glide over everything. East winds are a bitch down there.
