The 1088 was the Go To rod for many a few years ago and one of the best values for custom rods anywhere, going from $150-200 new. They were the first serious custom rods for many people. The 1088 is a nice eeling / plug rod and the 1087 is a nice bomber, lighter plug, tin, rod. I have several conventional.
