Funny you mention this,I had the the same with my St Coix and Loomis.
What I found was after fishing I would always wash them down with fresh water,if I didn't dry them off the opaque / cloudinus Would stay.
So what I found was stripping the reels off the rods twice a season and washing them good with soap and water then waxing them.

So after each use I would rinse them off and the cloudiness wouldn't happen.....

Works for me.

Good question, happened with mine as well... I thought it was just moisture underneath the epoxy... didnt seem to really do anything and goes away so I let it be

something clever and related to fishing

I have had it happen on a Loomis, a Lami and a Pac Bay. All wrapped by different guys. It always seems to go away after a few days.
