Why is it only the parents know of theses books , but seems none of their kids were forced to read them or ever read them .. seems the mortality police are back in business.. like they have in India or Islamic religious police and now the Christian Right are leading the GOP Culture’s Morality Police….

Here’s the list to the 850 books Texas looks to ban You might notice some common themes. It includes several books with "Black Lives Matter" in the title, and several others critical of policing. Multiple nonfiction books and memoirs on LGBTQIA+ lives and history, as well as books on how we categorize and assess gender. They're even targeting a book about the history of the man who invented Wonder Woman (because he was a polyamorous feminist into S&M and also invented the polygraph)! Pretty much every book with "Roe v Wade" in the title is on there as well; in fact, that goes all the way back to Michael Crichton's 1969 novel A Case of Need. Hell, there are a bunch of basic teen pregnancy and burgeoning sexuality books on there, too. They've even got Alan Moore's V for Vendetta on there

In addition to his compiled list, Rep. Krause alsoasks the districts to identity any other books or content that may "address or contain" certain topics including:

human sexuality, sexually transmitted diseases, or human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) or acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS), sexually explicit images, graphic presentations of sexual behavior that is in violation of the law, or contain material that might make students feel discomfort, guilt, anguish, or any other form of psychological distress because of their race or sex or convey that a student, by virtue of their race or sex, is inherently racist, sexist, or oppressive, whether consciously or unconsciously.

Why are conservatives up set over 1 book But willing to make another 850 books disappear
?
If not because of the GOP culture war some how convincing them that they are the only True Americans .. and any other view or idea is a danger to them and those around them? We’ve seen this tru history it never ends well

Ahh Soros
Better watch it the Jewish space laser is up there

Why does American have a shortage of

1. Hospital beds and healthcare providers
2. Daycare centers
3. Metal health and addiction treatment
4. Living wage paying jobs

But has plenty of prisons?

If you have to deploy the military to support hospitals you may have spent your budget on the wrong part of the system given the challenges we actually face.

Meanwhile the 25 wealthiest families added $312 billion to their collective fortunes, a 22% gain since last August.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but contracting Covid despite being fully vaccinated is no shame. It’s like getting hit by another car while driving…but you were wearing your seat belt and weren’t badly injured. You were smart. You saved your own and others’ lives.
Oh that’s right some people don’t wear those either because “freedom”

Florida school district "may not encourage classroom discussion about sexual orientation or gender identity in primary grade levels or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students." The bill doesn't specify how "age-appropriate" and "developmentally appropriate" would be defined.

The bills would also give parents the ability to sue schools if they believed the schools violated any provisions of the law.

Parents Defending Education

Parents Defending Education is a national grassroots organization working to reclaim our schools from activists promoting harmful agendas. Through network and coalition building, investigative reporting, litigation, and engagement on local, state, and national policies, we are fighting indoctrination in the classroom -- and for the restoration of a healthy, non-political education for our kids.

Scott and Jim you 2 will support anything without a 2nd look

Seems as with most conservatives the only acceptable form of indoctrination

is their vision and harmful agendas.

Just another culture war non profit hiding as a legitimate organization

Koch Connections and Sham Grassroots of Parents Defending Education

Mercedes Schneider has figured out the grassroots angle in Parents Defending Education: Prefab “Grassroots”—PDE needs local connections to claim standing in law suits to chill the free speech of any educator who questions white supremacy. Peter Greene minces no words in Parents Defending Education: Astroturf Goes Hard Right:

PDE is particularly odious because of its whole “turn in any teacher or school that offends you” approach to chilling conversation and teaching. This is not just astrotyurf (sic), but astroturf with its brown shirt on.
