i played some tennis a few times with the chairman of the sociology department at wesleyan university in CT ( i was careful not to bring up politics, as i’d have zero in common with him, and he was a nice guy).

He told me that he can’t track his hours in a way that averages out to 30 hours a week. even adding in office hours, preparing lesson plans, teaching, grading papers, department meetings,he can’t get it to 30 hours a week. and that’s when school is in session, which is approximately 34 weeks each year. a big big reason why college costs so much.

whew. if a conservative was writing a sitcom about the downside of liberal indoctrination in academia, they couldn’t write a scene better than how that unfolded.

agreed, the next civil war will be a whole lot shorter than the first one.

that kid couldn’t admit that the interviewer was asking him a question.

interviewer: what disinformation are we spreading?

interviewer; yes i do, that’s why i just asked you.

kid: no you didn’t.

he couldn’t admit that the guy asked him a question. why couldn’t he admit that?

what are we preparing that kid for, exactly? perhaps his own show at CNN?
