last night I was dropping my rod and sweeping the plug and away from the shore as the bass were hitting right up tight on the shore.
I plcked out a nice 20 whatever with out letting it run and sand fought it
Ya need to run through Your plugs and find what the bass want and then when the fish come in heavy You will be on every cast like last night
work the bomber ,You can rip it and pause and the slow retrieve it.
what Im saying is find out how they want to eat the lure.
if Your reeling super slow or dead drifting the bomber and there chowing. go right to a needle.
(think sand eel)
the key to success is to figure out how bait swims and acts in the water.
I was fishing a bar and white water and most times thats where You can start and find bass.
I worked a bar that parallels the beach going out at an angle tossing over it and workink the beginning as well as the back side of the bar and walking to deep water just where the waves stop breaking on the inside of the bar.
I worked bowls and I would walk 5 feet cast and have fish and move 5' or so down the beach (looking for bigger fish and to keep the fishing hot for Me)
here are some needles I have been using the olive and gold is deadly and i build My plugs to My specs as in fast sink slow sink and float
lighter colors in the moon, I use a flesh color and yellow along with another killer combo not shown
I will cycle through My needles in color and how they swim to target Bass at night
