Need to get Goosefish to chime in on this one but I was told that alot of the block island guys will have their builder take a
131 1L and cut the tip back to accept a 14 tube. This comes to about 4". I am currently working on both a spinner for a board member( ) and a conventional(wrapped spiral) for myself. I will tell you one thing................ with the tip cut this rod feels like it will handle anything thrown at it without loosing its castability.

Once both of these are finished I am sure if anyone would like to give it a cast or two, they will be more than welcome too!
