				Best picture ever

Couldn't belive I saw this happen. I watched a Comorant struggle with a trout at JP Pond, and an hour later it was floating in one of the coves. What a way to go. Cheers to the trout! |

My son and I saw one eating a Winter Flounder the other day when we were in the Barrington River.. the fish was small but a big one for the bird.. a couple of flips and he had it down and he was gone |

				 | Great pics. I once witnessed a Commorant come up with a 8 inch lobster, only to have a seagull swoop down and snatch it right out of its mouth.
It is good to see that those over-abundant birds, who have no natural enemies, can be defeated by something!

				Commorants

Seriously, I think they should open a Hunting Season on those Commorants every couple of years or so. There are just too many of them now. I wonder if they would taste like duck? |

				 | I was at Long Pond in plymouth a couple years back... We had caught a decent sized rainbow.. it was sitting on a stringer on the side of the ramp where we were fishing, comorant came up and took it all.. This was not a small fish... The comorant proceeded to start paddling away attempting to swallow it... It was failing pretty bad because of the stringer and the size.... a guy in a boat was lucky enough to net it and extract the fish...
The bird lived, its pretty funny now, but I was pretty pissed at the time.

one of the free range chickens that had choked on a big ole fence lizard
the lizards rear legs had prevented the chicken from
 swallowing his catch
so i left it for the coyotes.....
