It's been slow. I have had one 15 lb fish in the last week of fishing hard. Throwing Timber and I fish Point Jude light for 2 hours this morning and raised one fish.

No boat, back in the suds.

Glad to see I am not missing all that much. Havent been out since Saturday AM because I have been oncall.

Being able to get broadband speed in the middle of Gansett or on the banks of the canal is fun for a little while... Then you realize its still work you have it for and it gets VERY heavy.

Oh well, Ill cope with it for the weekend. It can only get better.. It has to, because we wont be at work.

Sorry the bite has been slow for those of you who arent chained down.

I hear the sweet song of the canal calling to me....

I cannot believe this thread was started by Bigfish.

Why would you want to chunk and drift bait from a boat? Even if it does mean fish....you don't like boat and bait.

I like fishing from a boat - prefer it actually. So I plan to get a boat as soon as I sell/buy the house. and yes - I will be taking boating classes, have all of the proper safety gear and know how to use it.

Wow a die hard, opinionate, preachy, got to catch fish on my own, home made plugs, from the surf is finally starting to conceed - I love it.

Not conceeding IWK.....fishing the same as I always have....I have always floated chunks at the Race when things are slow....I won't chunk anywhere else though. 85% plugs.....14% eels....1% chunks!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

Ron,

I figured you were fishing, but thought you would like that comment once you got to the thread. Actually, I had you in mind while I typed it.
