He was a nice guy - I was down there last season a few times - he had my stickers in there.
I came back a while later and asked them how they did and he told me that he gave them all away...
I said, "Andy, how are we gonna know if they sell if you give them all away?" We had a good laugh over it.

Yup; used to be my eel stop, he'd just wave ya in to the back room to pick your own eels... I miss that...
We talked blackfishing many a fall day, and like Eben said he never remembered the correct name, I was the rock guy from URI, that was good enough for me....
The stories he had from the 60's were bar none some of the best striper stories I'd heard....

My condolences to his family. As Bryan stated, he always let me pick my own eels. He had stories that would keep you mesmerized for hours. He had a 60+ a few 50s and more 40s than you could count.
