Katrina Benefit Raffle Donation List:
I want to get a list going for the items we can put together for a raffle for Katrina Relief. As stated in the other thread, http://www.striped-bass.com/Stripert...ad.php?t=25721 , we are still working out the details. Part of the proceeds will like go to freinds and family of our S-B members directly impacted by this tragic event. The other part of the procedes will go to the Red Cross for this specific disaster OR the Salvation Army for this specific disaster. I have heard on some news outlets that the Salvation Army is more efficient with relief funds and maybe we can find out for certain.
I will donate a surf rod or a surf reel and plugs (trying to figure out what I have).
Tickets will be 1 for $10 or 3 for $20 or 10 for $50. ALL money raised will go to the relief. We will use PayPal (highly preferred and really easy) or Money Orders (address and who to send to still to be determined).
I put some mentioned items or "or somethings" in as much is still being firmed up
I will donate a surf rod or a surf reel and plugs
MAC - Some PLugs
CS Rod Blank / PLugs
Slip - Reel
MikeCC / CCT - A Rod
Big Fish - Plugs or ??
Fisherwoman: Trip or Something
RIrockhound - plug or something
Canalman - some plugs (General Manager of S-B Wiffle Ball Team )
Clogston29 - a plug or two
As more details are finalized, I will put them in a thread with specific instructions on what to do.

I would like to donate a half dozen plugs to start things off! It will be an assortment.....jointed surfsters, dannies, and such! Maybe more later!
Maybe paint them to the winners preference?

As this is a time where we all need to make sacrifice I am pledging a plug that has raised good money in the past on this and other boards...
From the few that sit in my office I will donate a Slipnot Patriot Pike.....

As I'm a little light on the tackle end, I'll have to rack my brains to figure something out. Something someone might actually want... I'll get back to ya.

OK - let's do this - we have a lot of stuff donated and more on the way. I will put together a page this weekend with the details.
You can use the paypal donate button below now or mail a money order to:
Linesider Technologies
PO Box 9183
Warwick, RI. 02889
(but we need to determine who to address it too??)
AND PLEASE - IMPORTANT - send an e-mail to katrinafund@striped-bass.com with your name, screen name, how you paid, and e-mail address used for PayPal.
I have seen all kinds of fundraisers for Katrina victims and want to see this one work. I have even seen several cases of very young kids selling cookies and lemonade to raise money !
Thanks,
John
