You could play really bad, loud dance music and wear speedos while fishing. That would keep people away.

The worst day fishing is better than the best day working. ...Wait a minute, my work IS fishing. Sweet.

Took my niece (7) and her lil cousin (6) out this weekend to fish for a couple hours. They got lil stuff breaking out in front of them so I get their lines out(the casting accuracy thing is still being worked on by the kids). And they're WICKED excited. Some TOOL comes and casts DIRECTLY over them!!! and tangles them up. I totally forgot myself for the next 5 minutes as I raged at this moron I stopped myself when I looked over at the kids and they were wicked sad..then I grrr I was ready to go with this guy... Then the dude taunts me and I was ready for it.. I calmed down a bit and told the dude look man they;re just lil kids no need to cast over them, thats all. Its not like you didnt see the kids holding their rods there, and Im sure you saw the lil fish breakin in front of them. I was soo pissed man who does that to lil kids? I totally blasted the guy with some verbage that man I think a few folks learned a few new 4 letter words that day...

I got the kids to relax and got their lines back in the water and the dude comes over and says he's sorry etc etc, but I mean c'mon who casts directly over a 6 yr old and a 7yr old. Hell if it was me he was casting over I wouldnt care, Id just cut his line. Not acceptable, what kills me is that the kids saw me act that way But you guys know Im not the type to keep quite when I dont like something thats going on.

Domination takes full concentration..

Thanks guys. Most of the boats were fine, but a couple were going right through the schools. Link Sr. we fish from a boat, basically I'll do the same thing as you said, start up current, put the engine in idle, and drift towards the fish. I figure if the boat drifts into the blitz, it won't really spook them as long as the prop isn't turning. One boat really pissed me off, they weren't fishing, just out cruising and must have seen the busting fish and wanted a closer look. No regard for fisherman. Oh well, I guess that's what happens on the weekends when everyone is out there.

Bass babe, you do not want to see me in speedos, you won'tbe able to control yourself.

do's and dont's

Jaywalker33, don't ever use anything that you'll miss when casting at some putz driving your fish down. Don't a 3 1/2 oz. cripple herring that cost $5.99, do use lead sinkers that basically cost nada. Always use four ounze pyramid sinkers. They deflect the wind the best for this particular situation. I have hit more than one boat that either drove fish down in front of me or actually anchored up, such as the day tripper at the gut on Chappy that was so close I could almost flycast into his cockpit. Someone gets a sinker hitting thier boat they'll leave. Even during the derby boats will drift by but for the most part no one ever anchors up in front of you especially when their 50 to 70 guys fishing the shore on the inside.

They are not suppose to be fishing within the confines of the canal anyway. The canal cops are right next to where your fishing. Drop a dime or whiz four ounzes of lead by or through them.

Tape a M-80 to a sinker low enough in weight so as to not sink the bouyant M-80, keep in mind that the thick green wicks are somewhat waterproof. That should scare them off?
