For the most part, I'll be reading alot of books, articles, reports, etc. on gillnetting, trawling, scallop fishing, and fish, marine mammal, seabird, and turtle ID...for my new job! Yay!

As for suggestions, if you want to give yourself a striper break, I'd go with The Hungry Ocean by Linda Greenlaw. Not to say I perfectly agree with her viewpoints, but it is a great story about longlining for swordfish.

I'm in the middle of "Why do men have nipples?" -- my sister got it for me for Christmas. It's pretty cool -- it answers all sorts of unanswerables -- why do we yawn when others yawn? are farts really flammable? Funny stuff.

The worst day fishing is better than the best day working. ...Wait a minute, my work IS fishing. Sweet.
