I said the same thing to my wife last night....I was as pissed off about his interview as I have been about anything recently on TV!! He deserves a good old fashoned BEATING!!!

Actually, there was a special on early in the Olympics regarding the shape of the medals. I don't remember the designer's exact words, but the whole was to represent the unity of the nations competing. Each medal was also engraved uniquely to the sport being competed in. It wasn't designed just to be different than the Gold-first, Silver-second, Bronze-third, there was a little more thought put into it than that.
