Good post. The best days are when you get to do both.

Lay off us hybrids (surfers and fishemen).

As a fisher and a surfer i see both sides of this. As a surfer we follow the break. As a fisher we follow the fish. Surfers do have the same right of way to the beach as the fishermen. With that being said the surfers have to respect the fishermen and the fishermen have to respect the surfers. I like the rule of whoever was there first, but if the break cahnges to wehre the fishermen are, I usually just head in. Others may not be as respectful. As for when I'm fishing, i think like a surfer. I try and find a spot where there is no good break. I also try and stay in the same spot and hold my ground, then if someone does hit my line I can say I've been there. THe other side of this is you can fish without surf, but you cant surf without surf, so i'd say find another spot if its overrun with surfers.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

I have nothing against them. I also enjoy watching them try.

But this time of year when I have already been catching and then they show up and decide to hang in front of me and disperse the fish Pi$%es me off.
