Don't limit yourself to squid-like lures...the big push of squid has already happened (if you're going where I think you are). Sure, there are still some around...but other bait-fish have infested those waters as well...
I'm sure you've seen squid in action, just mimic there swim-style like CapeSamz said. Just be careful setting the hook, you don't want to be late or early
...if the plug gets grabbed while it's in limbo and she feels the trebbles before you set the hook.....
