I had this happen to me last year at the canal and I posted about it. It is getting worse. I was at a spot for a couple of hours throwing surface plugs to breaking fish that were sliding by with the current. It just so happened that a nice pod crashing on bait parked right in front of me for an extended period of time. So as expected the fellas to my right and left started casting directly in front of me..... but all of a sudden I hear a commotion and the whizzing of conventional reels. No less that 4 big wooden plugs were lauched above me from the service road. I had hooked up while their plugs were airborne. They were casting and retrieving right over my line as I was fighting the fish. Once the fished moved they mounted up on their trikes and followed the fish without a care in the world. I personally wouldn't think about casting over somebodys head out of respect AND safety.

And by the way. They were the GREEKS without a doubt!!

I just read this thread. I think casting behind someone regardless of where is ludicrous unless you absolutely know the person and have a method to the madness that all share. I recall a few years ago at Wasque someone getting a chin full of trebbles and almost getting a free improvised face lift because they were too close behind an angler...

I guess one thing to cast from the road but another to cast over someone. Sure nothing might go wrong but what if it does?
