made mine out of a reg. pr. of plier's..ground the nose nice an wide like an old snaggle tooth...not even shark or tuna ring's stand a chance...$ free an a few min's of your time to grind down.

BOAT fish do count.

I use split ring pliers alot and my only experience is with the cheapy set of "lakeside" pliers you get at wallyworld.They work.

Have to agree. These work great. $4 at Wally World.

The one I like best is by Texas Tackle the Large size. They are tough to find. I had them for a while but they have been out of stock.

I have the Texas Tackle pliers...large and small size....like MikeCC says they are awesome!!

Cabelas has them $17 and $19 plus shipping.


Bought cheaper ones that work but wish they worked better.
