I throw some 12"-14" pieces of PVC pipe in my eel tank. They love to hide in em.

Wow, now we're trying to make eels happy.
I think they're happy with a 7/0 in their jaw.

I change the water in my tank every other day and I found that the huge ones usually die first so I try not to get them too big, I don't have any structure in the tank for them to hide and they seem just fine.

Same here. Keep about 2-3 dozen at a time in a 72 Qt. cooler with frabill aerator and change water daily. No problems. They like chicken parm too.

It's not the bait

It's the fishing hole

I use my keepalive tank and they hide under the foam ring . I can have 20-30 in it and they ALL try to get under the ring. Thanks Dave I like the pipe idea a good place for them to hide and easy to get out of the way to get at the eels I will try it. Tony looks like you did not make it over last night? The tank is out back in the shed and this time of year the water gets a little hot so I will put some ice in on hot days if I am around during the day to help keep them COOL.
