Somebody reissued these some years back. The big ones I have (which are not originals) weigh 4.56 oz. I suspect they are birch, since I can't see that they are weighted and they weigh too much to be pine at that size (and one of mine has cracked which pine doesn't usually do). I have a smaller original that I think is pine and weighs 2.4 oz. You're welcome to borrow one if you want.

The one I have is very light I don't think it is weighted. Also screweyes not thru wired, which I will do. That's right, I will look into the lips, I forgot that they make them. Thanks daddy. Peter Peter. That's right I gave you back all those plugs didn't I. I would never cut that beater up. I am looking to build the bigger trolling one. That jointed thing is very interesting. I love those eye's. Maybe a troller with a groove for a skin. Let me see a few more colors. Thanks P.
