Mostly cause the stainless adds more weight where I don't want it. Also harder to cut in the real small sizes (like for 1/4 oz plugs). For striper sized stuff, the stainless is a better choise. It allows you more options as far as tuning the plug compared to lexan. Jigman

LaPala Registered User Join Date: Nov 2005 Posts: 33	Lexan is transperant so theoretically fish do not see it as much as an SS lip, so it will not add to the total length of a lure. No flash too when u don't want an attraction like that.
