I would say your best bet is with the large inline muskie spinners from MN and Canada. They're about the only thing I've seen HD enough that I would consider.
Forget about spinnerbaits.Everything i've seen and heard of was destroyed or bent up to where it was useless once you start getting into larger class fish.
I've also toyed with the idea of trying to make large HD saltwater buzzbaits. Still kicking that one around. Going to a lead pouring event this weekend gonna pick some brains and if I see the right mold.
