Sad to Hear

Thoughts and prayers to his family, especially the ones who lost their dad. I think of my young ones everytime I head out. I think I'll be wearing my inflatable more than I used to.

Thats awful, T&P for his family.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope. ~John Buchan

I hate hearing these stories... but they do serve as a reminder that a good partner is perhaps the most important part of keeping yourself safe. I think of some the falls I have taken, or the times I have climbed out to some real treacherous perches alone.. it's really dangerous. So, Mr Bill, I will, as many of us will, think of you tonight when I teeter out to my rock of choice and do it with a little more caution than the last... T&P....

It's sad whan a family loses a parent, but at least he was doing something he loved. he will be missed, and may well serve as a reminder to the rest of us to still head out to the sea, but do so a bit more cautiously.
I can recall at least one occasion where I was glad to make it back to shore.
