That thing is a monster...I wonder if that fish was traveling in the company of smaller fish or if it was in a school of similarly sized behemoths. Wow. That is some fish!

I would send her back if I could revive it. What the heck would I do with a fish that size ? Even if I didn't have a camera

No, no, no. we’re 30… 30, three zero.

Would have been cool if it was. I'd hump that fish after landing it then have it mounted so I could just sit there and stare at it.

Why even try.........

Doesn't sound right to me either--I know of 5-6 fish 70+ from Mass. alone

Church, Cinto and Stetzko at 73.

Kirker at 72

Two from the old Chatham inlet at 70.

Steve Petri had a 69 from Nauset that's the 16# line class record.

Tim Coleman has a couple of high 60s from the Block.

Steve Campo might also have a high 60 from the Block.

The one from CT at 75.

Bob Rochetta's 76.

McReynold's 78-1/2.

Some high 60s from Va/NC in recent years.

Who knows how many ever got caught and not reported.

Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools, because they have to say something.

Big fish either swim with the same or similar size or alone. They don't swim with schoolies because they are not as fast and would starve competing for a meal.

I was told that Mike Laptew once said he was free diving off the West Wall and had a school of Bass all over 100 pounds in front of him and then they swam away together.

No boat, back in the suds.
