Yeah, I was at that spot this morning as well and I agree, unfishable, believe me I tried. There were most likely fish there, a bunch of birds were feasting on bait a little further down the shore but it would have been a bad decision to try and get to a spot where you could have actually cast in their vicinity, and forget about landing a fish. The wind was just too much, couldn't even get a 3 oz tin out past the first wave, and there was so much bow in the line an effective retrieve was impossible. Lots of weed as well, I had a bottle plug get so mired in cabbage that it snapped my main line above the bimini when I tried to haul it out. All in all a very tough outing, I think I only lasted about an hour, but what a great morning anyway, awesome sight to witness the raw power of nature. Hopefully there will still be some fish around in the aftermath, can't end the season with a skunking.
