what he said. i never really enjoyed fishing the muddy Thames as much as I have CLEAN open Rhody water.

the DEP pier offers access, and is well-known.

frankly, i think the Thames is better fished by boat deep in the winter for folks who are going through striper withdrawl.

you know, i'm not one to frequently burn spots, but if you're in the area, a trip down to Ocean Beach in New London is worth it. nobody goes there, there's plenty of parking, and just as many schoolies that time of year. check out the herring coves. the n.e. fisherman mag features it every winter.
