Don't know much about the rod, but either the 40 or 50 would be great. i wish they made a cabo .45 sounds almost like a colt

i have that rod in a 1 pc. nice rod for plugging. the premier is a little stiffer and would be tough to load w/ a bomber or an eel i would think. i've got a premier 9' that i throw topwater plugs with - the stiffness is perfect for that. as far as comparing it to the lami. a lot of guys swear by lamiglass. i've got one set up for the canal but my go to rods are all st croixs. for a reel size - i've got mine set up w/ a stradic 6000 but i'm a shimano guy.
