Unfortunately, yes it is.
This is the rig I use for newwwbeees.

They have a problem cranking and "leveling" all at the same time.
The other reason is, I fish single handed quite a bit and usually run 2 rigs at a time using outrodders. When I get a hit I usually fight the fish and crank the 2nd rig in with my "3rd hand" when it gets in the way.

Otherwise I would use the Penn 113HSP's

I've never spooled a 330GTi and that was why I was looking for an estimate of how much dacron backing & 50# wire.
