Over about 45" the weights can vary a lot. At the shop I used to work for we weighed a 48" bass that went 30# even, and at the same time some 48" fish could be 50#. That's a 20# swing, so there is no set length for a 46# fish, but I'd say around 47-50" there's a chance it's close to that with exceptions at either end.

I usually know I've got a real good fish when I go to lift it out of the wash and it takes two-hands. That's a great feeling
