Get down to about DZ's weight and they should last longer.

I agree with that statement... I am 210lbs and my buddy is 180ish... and mine wear down 10x faster than he... although I tell him I fish harder than he does...

I have purchased Carbide screws for ATV tires and screw them in around the korker spikes... they last a lot longer and add that extra support when the spike wear down.

I hear your pain buddy... there is nothing worse than paying $75 for korkers and over a season speding $100 for spikes...

did what Bryan said at the end of last year,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

works like a charm. depending on where i go
varies the wear and duration of the ss bolts.
i also use ss lock nuts, #10-24 to match the
#10-24 machine bolts. pkg of 4 nuts .98 at HD.
i think it was 4.50 for 100 bolts at the Depot

smartest striperin' move i've made in awhile!!!
