This time last year I was looking high and low for fish with little to show. This year has been much more consistent. I've heard there's been some decent fish in the canal too. Seems like there's a good fall run going from the N.Shore all the way through RI right now.

As for spring fishing, its much more predictable IMO.

I've had a decent run in the surf since I pulled the boat early. Canal has been the most consistent place for me but I have been moving around in the Canal to find the big girls.

No boat, back in the suds.

The last week has been great for numbers in SoCo but I haven't landed anything large - hooked up with what felt like a few nice ones but couldn't get them in. Seems like most of the fish I'm getting are in the low 30" range.

Did see a couple of fish taken over 30lbs.
