I'm going to haul the boat this weekend, so if there are to be any blitzes for me this year, they better be close to shore. Definitely the worst September/October I can remember.
The sharpies are still getting a few fish at first light including one in the mid-thirty# range yesterday but the bite is only on for a very short window of time. Absolutely the worst October I've seen ever. Still holding out hope though as the big mackerel are thick just North of here and some bigger bass will usually travel along with them.
