You might want to check it out again. My Dad said the same thing as you Mike and was really surprised when tried it again. The quality of the brew declined in the last years of production but they have it dialed in now. After fishing I'll toss back a couple and they go down real smooth, espicially if ice cold.

I agree with the ice cold part. To me gansett's are real easy going, they don't taste bad they just don't really have a strong taste at all kinda like busch or something like that. I like them, great cheap summer beer. I have a hard time finding them in anything bigger than a 6er though.

The Narragansett Bock is a nice, dark lager. It goes down real smooth. I also tried the regular Gansett lager and it was o.k. There are so many other good beers out there that I wouldn't buy it, but I'd take one from someone elses cooler.
