Been toggin on some rock piles with a few friends the last couple days out that way and they were chewin' and chewin good!
All I can say is it don't get any better than that! I bet one day the 3 of us had 70-80 real quality fish in about 2 hours. It has been awesome. (the next day it was a little slower but it was still a very solid trip) Nearly all fish in the 5-9# class. Water temp was 54 on day 56 the next. We were all alone out there until a guy eased up to us, saw the the action...drove over directly above of my anchor and marked the spot, then took off.

Bass is still kinda slow but I heard the last few days it picked up and some of the guys not still burned out from the derby are doing OK with good numbers of decent fish...nothing crazy but a marked improvement from the past couple weeks. And the fish are fat, really fat.

I may hit the beach one night this weekend but that tog bite is so frigging good and I really enjoy that kind of fishing so much I really hope to mooch a couple more trips this fall. After I spend all day on the water I have trouble hitting the night surf stuff, I need a break for a day or so to recoup.
