Guys thank you for your honest remarks! I have no doubt about your passion for this fish...I do agree that if we don't see some recruiting pretty soon than the ASMFC will contract on the quotas a bit to help curb anything catestrophic from happenning. I also would put this on the table as well, if they ever stopped commercial bass and then cut the rec take to one a day...and the YOY index did not come back...would you still blame management or would you start to be lieve that more biological issues are causing the lack of fish? I still have not seen this down turn, but I don't target schoolies I target keeper sized fish for my charters and obviously commercial sized fish...I do surf fish on some southern facing beaches in May and June and found plenty of fish there all last spring, maybe I just got lucky!
