We're hobbyists. We are in this for fun. Secrets don't get us anything. Measure what you want. I'll have xrays as well.

numbskull,
I am the lurking lurker who lurks, and occasionally will throw out some inane comments when the cabin fever gets to me.....I wish I was getting up to Plugfest, but won't be......but I do like looking at the insides of plugs, so keep the x-rays coming!

And Professor, verniers? Really? All those little lines would just make me squint real hard till I got a headache......

digital ruler

and to explain how ya can use it

i'll use the Greeks awesome PLUG as an example ok

you go to Web Design and Development Tools and download it for free

then this ruler can sit on top of any picture on your PC

when ya check the box " stay on top "

then if ya know the hook size or there's a quarter in the pic
you can determine the measurements fairly accurately
and i'm sure the BASS won't mind if your a Centimeter off.

it can be configured to millimeters, centimeters, or inches.
you stretch the ruler and it tells you length or width
right in the center of the ruler

here's the example photo i mentioned above
