Swimmers version is correct.....it was a direct result of the holes in the dirt road and the folks trying to drive around them damaging the dune grass as we were told. As for it being announced to the public...well Swimmer and I are not Wareham residents and do not keep our finger on the pulse of every shoreside towns local goings on politically. Mike Thomas is a Wareham resident and received no advance notice to our knowledge.
