saw a huge seal with a HUGE gash behind it's neck dying on the beach as we went by the tip of monomy on our way back from tuna fishin last tuesday. went it faced into the current one way it was the wound stayed closed, but when turned the other way you could see it's backbone, pretty cool. we ran up to it to get a closer look and the seal rolled itself into the water but wouldn't go more than 10-15 yds. past the beach. we think the attack had just taken place and we hung around for a few to see if it was going to finish him off.
